Not often is there the person who does not encounter an ethical or moral dilemma in some unspecified time in the future in his or her business life. Nevertheless, the social accountability motion is but one facet of the general self-discipline of business ethics. Enterprise ethics may be outlined as written and unwritten codes of ideas and values that govern choices and actions within an organization. Another important method to the study of enterprise ethics comes from Kantian ethical idea (D.G. Arnold & Bowie 2003; Bowie 1999).
Many of the scholarship has been on Company Social Responsibility (CSR), and although this has significantly enriched the context-particular business and society literature, way more is needed to grasp business ethics phenomena in Africa’s complex and challenging contexts.
